Job Summary
Provide and coordinate clinically competent outpatient nephrology nursing care for an assigned patient group, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Administer medications as prescribed, document in the patient record, and adjust treatment plans as needed. Deliver dialysis-related care under supervision, educate patients and families, participate in staff training and orientation, and support quality improvement initiatives within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team. Perform documentation of admissions, lab collection coordination, and ensure adherence to policy and practice standards while assisting with emergency responses as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current appropriate state licensure.
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
- Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
- Must have a minimum of 9 months experience as a RN.
- Must have a minimum of 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as a RN.
- Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse.
