Job Summary
Outpatient RN - Dialysis role providing safe, effective home dialysis training and patient care within the Home Therapies program. Responsibilities include supervising delivery of home dialysis therapies, staff training and orientation, participating in CQI/QEP activities, educating patients and families on ESRD and home dialysis equipment, coordinating with physicians, managing lab orders and documentation, and ensuring emergency procedures and CPR readiness. Requires RN licensure, CPR certification, dialysis training, and experience in medical-surgical and dialysis settings; travel between facilities and community locations is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.)
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Minimum of one year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Minimum of one year dialysis experience preferred
- Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of dialysis therapies
- Competent at operating all Home Therapies related equipment
- Successfully complete CPR certification with maintenance as required
- Icd-9 coding Training
- Demonstrated teaching abilities
