Job Summary
Provide and coordinate clinically competent outpatient dialysis nursing care for an assigned group of patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, with potential delegation to RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians. Recognize and respond to patient needs during hemodialysis, administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms, participate in education for patients and families, and support quality improvement initiatives. Serve as a resource and potential preceptor to new employees, while meeting CAP requirements to maintain or advance. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, adherence to nursing policies, and ensuring safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy in a clinic setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
