Outpatient Profee Coder

Review medical records thoroughly to abstract physician services and diagnosis codes using industry-standard ICD-10 CM and CPT guidelines. Assign appropriate codes and modifiers with a minimum of 98% accuracy while resolving pre-accounts receivable edits and correcting incorrectly billed services. Provide documentation feedback to clients or account managers, communicate revised billing guidelines to providers, and collaborate with Patient Accounting to coordinate appeals and identify incorrect claim issues. Obtain additional documentation such as operative reports and assist Revenue Cycle staff as requested. Meet established productivity and quality standards for each encounter type.
