Job Summary
Conduct outpatient physical therapy using a 1:1 treatment model across clinic locations in Sandwich, Hyannis, Orleans, and Plymouth. Interpret evaluations and test results to determine treatment goals, administer manual exercises, and instruct patients on using assistive devices. Adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and discuss goals with patients and families. Complete accurate billing sheets by end of day and participate in hospital-wide quality process improvement. Supervise physical therapist assistants according to state regulations and provide in-service education for nursing personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
- Physical Therapist [Massachusetts License]
- Basic Life Support [Various Issuers]
- Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License]
- Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent organizational skills
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems
- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Teaching others how to do something
- Excellent problem solving, case management and communication skills
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree Physical Therapy
- Doctor of Physical Therapy
- Experience completing internship or apprenticeship program 1-2 years
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
