Job Summary
Perform objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients under general supervision of Therapy Leadership. Directly supervise patients and provide indirect supervision to rehabilitation technicians, while overseeing PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Requires current or temporary Physical Therapy licensure in the state of practice and BLS certification. This role involves per diem day and evening shifts at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. Candidates must possess the ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs regularly, with prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master of Science in Physical Therapy, or Doctor of Physical Therapy
- Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in the state of practice
- BLS certified
- Per diem - Days and evenings
- Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- Six months to one year of experience is preferred for a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist
- Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients
