Job Summary
Physical Therapist provides direct patient care for an orthopedic patient population within Northwestern Medicine's Rehabilitation Services, including evaluation and treatment planning, re-evaluations, documentation in EMR, collaboration with PT/PTA staff, education of patients and families, and participation in committees and quality-improvement efforts. Responsibilities emphasize adherence to NM values (teamwork, patients first, integrity, excellence), delivery of evidence-based therapy, and leadership activities such as mentoring students and interns, with flexible scheduling to meet patient care needs. Requires clinical competency in selecting appropriate treatment modalities, advancing patient plans of care, and maintaining productive collaboration with healthcare teams. Eligible candidates hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy and Illinois licensure with BLS certification; a Master’s or Doctoral degree is preferred.
