Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to understand each patient's needs and challenges, then create evidence-based, individualized rehabilitation plans addressing specific mobility and functional goals. Employ therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and advanced techniques to facilitate recovery while regularly assessing progress and adapting strategies as necessary. Educate patients and families on effective movement strategies, injury prevention, and home exercise programs, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care for clients recovering from post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Active Florida Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing physical therapy, preferably in outpatient or home care settings
- Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate effective communication with patients and team members alike
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Familiarity with a variety of rehabilitation techniques, including aquatics and functional training
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment
