Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine patient needs, then develop and implement customized treatment plans utilizing advanced rehabilitation techniques. Monitor patient progress daily, adjusting plans as necessary while engaging in hands-on therapy through manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education. Educate patients on their conditions and recovery processes, providing guidance on home care techniques. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for outpatient clients managing orthopedic and neurological conditions. Work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM with an average caseload of seven patients per day.
Required Qualifications
- Valid New York State Physical Therapist license
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- A minimum of 2 years of outpatient clinical experience
- Experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills
- The ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
