Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions using muscle, nerve, and joint assessments to determine functional capabilities. Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility and alleviating pain, then provide direct services including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, monitor patient progress, and adjust plans based on observed changes. Prepare comprehensive clinical documentation and educate patients on home exercise programs and device care. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss strategies for comprehensive care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current physical therapy licensure in the state of New Jersey, in good standing
- At least one year of experience in a clinical setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
- Solid understanding of federal and state regulations governing physical therapy practices
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to assess patient needs and create strategic therapy plans
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced clinical environment
