Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients to assess physical condition and determine therapeutic interventions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices, while administering exercises, manual therapy, and modalities. Monitor progress and adjust strategies to optimize outcomes, educating patients on self-management techniques. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align on care strategies and manage a caseload of approximately seven patients daily. Focus primarily on orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends. Requires a valid New York State license and two years of outpatient orthopedic experience.
Required Qualifications
- A valid and active Physical Therapist license in New York State
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- At least two years of experience in an outpatient setting, specifically focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation
- Proficiency with therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and effectively collaborate with team members
