Job Summary
Screen, test, evaluate, and treat patients with injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities. Consult, educate, and train patients and caregivers while developing treatment strategies that include exercise regimens to increase flexibility, strength, or endurance. Document assessments and monitor progress to restore physical function, improve mobility, and prevent permanent disability. Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers regarding patient needs and goals while maintaining a clean work environment. Assist in research initiatives as assigned. Perform initial and ongoing assessments, create plans with anticipated outcomes, and determine patients' ability to reintegrate into the workplace or community.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
- Current/valid state Physical Therapist licensure
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
- One (1) year related experience
- Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts
- Knowledge of physical therapy principles, standards, and applications
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
- Highly organized and analytical
- Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
- A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
