Job Summary
Manage discharge and ambulatory patient services, including Medication Therapy Management, immunizations, patient counseling, and education. Support the 340B program and lead pharmacy staff. Work weekdays from 7:30 A.M. to 7:30 P.M. or weekends from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. with rotating shifts based on demand. Requires a PharmD or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Wisconsin licensure, and one year of clinical patient care experience. Preferred qualifications include ASHP-accredited residency training and clinic-based operations knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a PharmD degree
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in the State of Wisconsin
- BLS certified
- One year of clinical patient care
- Ability to learn computer and application skills as applicable to role
- Ability to interact with and work well with people
- Ability to make sound decisions in demanding situation
- Ability to react to frequent changes in duties and volume of work
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to listen empathetically
- Frequent walking, standing, sitting, reaching, manual/fine dexterity, grasping, and hearing-close distance
- Occasional bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling and squatting
- Occasional ability to lift/carry or push/pull up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency training program
- Working knowledge of clinic-based operations (vaccinations, medication sampling, supply requirements, etc.)
- Three (3) years of retail, institutional, community hospital, or an ASHP-accredited residency training program
