Job Summary
Evaluates, plans, directs and administers medically prescribed occupational therapy programs in a hospital setting to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part. Provides patient-focused OT services to help individuals reach maximum performance and participate in society, with administrative duties, potential to orient staff and students, and alternate coverage of supervision in the absence of the supervising therapist. Position requires pediatric outpatient OT experience, professional collaboration with care teams, and commitment to safety, infection control, and performance improvement initiatives. Includes a 10-hour day shift in a full-time role at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA; a $5000 hiring bonus is referenced for eligible external hires.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of the American Occupational Therapy Association training program
- Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire
- California Occupational Therapist License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- Experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, and/or subacute care settings
