Outpatient Patient Registered Nurse - RN

Outpatient Registered Nurse (CAP 1) at Fresenius Kidney Care: provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned patient group undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, with potential task delegation to RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians. Collaborates with the End Stage Kidney Disease healthcare team to support patient care outcomes, participates in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities, and conducts ongoing data collection and documentation in the medical record. Responsibilities include education for patients and families, direct delivery of hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with the care team, administration of prescribed medications, initiating emergency responses, staff training/orientation, ensuring proper laboratory procedures, updating nursing assessments and care plans, and facilitating transplant and treatment modality education. Requires completion of CAP requirements to advance, Supervisory/Team Leader responsibilities as assigned, and adherence to Fresenius policies and state/federal regulations. Physical demands include lifting/moving patients and equipment, prolonged standing, and potential travel to training sites or other facilities. Must possess RN licensure, graduate from an accredited nursing program, CPR/BLS certification, and meet state practice requirements. Hourly pay ranges from $31 to $52 depending on location and qualifications, with comprehensive benefits. The role is based in Waite Park, MN, with on-site duties and potential for travel to training sites.
