Job Summary

Conduct outpatient orthopedic physical therapy services, including screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating injuries, diseases, and disabilities using standard practices and modalities. Develop care plans with specific goals based on patient assessments and collaborate with care teams to deliver patient-centered care. Educate and train patients, families, and caregivers while supervising assistants, aides, and students to ensure high-quality rehabilitation outcomes. Maintain thorough patient records, complete accurate billing, and participate in quality improvement processes, utilization review audits, and interdisciplinary meetings. Contribute to program development strategies to grow the physical therapy program and support the Intermountain Operating Model.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Physical Therapist license in states where you work
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
  • Ongoing need to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
  • When doing patient care, lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
  • Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess skill sets and experience with target population of job setting

Desired Qualifications

  • Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification
  • experience as a Sports or Orthopedic Clinical Specialist
