Job Summary
Screen, test, evaluate, and treat injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with standard practices. Consult, educate, and train patients, families, and caregivers while collaborating with care teams to deliver quality, patient-centered care. Conduct evaluations and treatments based on diagnosis, history, and physician referrals, developing care plans with specific goals. Manage all aspects of patient care and education, including supervising assistants, aides, office staff, and students. Promote Intermountain Health's mission, values, and service standards while engaging in quality improvement processes and utilization review audits. Participate in patient care conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, and staff meetings. Contribute to program development and marketing strategies to grow the physical therapy program. Full-time, 40-hour week with full benefits eligibility in Wheat Ridge, CO.
Required Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license in states where you work.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Basic Computer skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.
- Possess skill sets and experience with target population of job setting.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
- Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
