Job Summary
Evaluate patients' physical conditions through assessments and screenings, developing comprehensive and customized treatment plans for optimal recovery. Administer therapeutic interventions for up to seven patients in a regular shift, focusing on orthopedic issues, pain management, and post-operative rehabilitation. Utilize evidence-based practices, including manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises, to enhance physical function and performance. Educate patients on exercises tailored to their individual recovery needs along with strategies for preventing future injuries. Document patient progress meticulously in compliance with health regulations and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment plans and objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Physical Therapist License
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems used in therapeutic practices
- Experience with evidence-based practice methodologies for rehabilitation
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
