Job Summary
Evaluate and assess orthopedic patients through comprehensive physical examinations, then design and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based rehabilitation techniques. Monitor patient progress, adjusting strategies based on ongoing evaluations, while providing education on exercises and recovery strategies to enhance long-term health outcomes. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to foster an integrated approach to care and document all plans and progress in the electronic health record system. Participate in departmental meetings for case reviews and share best practices. This role focuses on outpatient orthopedic clients requiring rehabilitation for post-operative recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain, and work-related injuries.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Experience using electronic health records
- Familiarity with modern rehabilitation tools and methodologies
