Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to develop tailored treatment plans based on physician referrals and patient needs. Implement and adjust treatment modalities, applying a range of orthopedic interventions to improve functionality and quality of life. Utilize appropriate therapeutic exercise programs and hands-on techniques for rehabilitation, ensuring adherence to the physician's plan of care. Offer education and guidance to patients and their families, empowering them with knowledge about their conditions and recovery processes. Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment plans, progress reports, and outcomes, adhering to regulatory and professional standards. Collaborate with a broader healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and sharing of best practices, contributing to the organizational mission of maximizing patient outcomes. Assist in achieving minimum productivity targets while focusing on delivering exceptional patient-centered service that encourages ongoing recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program
- Eligibility for a state license in Physical Therapy
- Current license held in Florida
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Familiarity with electronic health records
- Familiarity with rehabilitation management software
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy
