Job Summary
Outpatient Occupational Therapist (OT) needed for part-time home health visits in the Raleigh-Durham area serving adult and geriatric patients in senior living communities. Perform therapy evaluations to develop a plan of care for clients in designated settings, operate at top of licensure using evidence-based approaches to maximize functional independence, collaborate with home health teammates to transition care to outpatient services, educate clients/families/caregivers, conduct evaluations and discharge planning using the outpatient EMR, and deliver client-centered care in the home environment. Requirements include an active NC OT license, 1+ year OT experience (home care preferred), OT program accreditation, ability to work independently, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with EMR systems.
Required Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Occupational Therapist license
- Minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the AMA/AOTA
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Solid computer skills; prior EMR experience preferred
