Outpatient Nurse

Accompany patients to exam rooms, prepare them for procedures, and perform vital signs, office procedures, and blood draws. Administer medications with physician authorization, retrieve lab and x-ray reports, and handle telephone triage and referrals. Provide patient education on policies, medications, disease management, and home treatments. Perform accurate documentation, order supplies, stock exam rooms, and clean instruments while disposing of biohazard waste per OSHA standards. Coordinate pre-op workups, contact patients prior to procedures, and assist with post-procedure instructions. Requires an RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification.
