Job Summary
Interview patients in exam rooms, document care information, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations. Assist providers with physical exams and procedures, while answering telephone screens and scheduling appointments with clear documentation of reasons. Clean instruments for sterilization, manage EMR and registry software, and maintain clinical proficiency in practice-specific competencies. This float role covers all specialty practices in the Concord area, reporting to Clinical Leaders. Certification (CMA or RMA) and current BLS/CPR/AED certification are required. Concord Hospital is a nationally-accredited regional health system with ISO 9001:2008 certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Minimum of one year of related experience and/or training in similar medical practice/field
- Successful completion of a Licensed Nursing Assistant program
- At least four years of experience (for Licensed Nursing Assistant candidates)
- Military medical training
- Equivalent of one year related experience (for Trained Military Medic candidates)
- Certification (CMA) or registration (RMA)
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification
- Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers
- Minimum of one year of healthcare experience (for Licensed Nursing Assistant candidates)
- Equivalent of one year related experience (for Trained Military Medic candidates)
- Ability to regularly lift, carry or push/pull less than 10 pounds
- Ability to frequently lift, carry or push/pull up to 10 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry or push/pull up to 20 pounds
- Ability to regularly hear and speak
- Ability to frequently sit and walk
- Ability to occasionally bend, climb, do repetitive motion, kneel, and perform activities that require fine motor skills, reach, smell, squat, and stand
- Color vision

- Availability Monday through Friday
- No nights, no weekends or major holidays
