Outpatient MRI Technologist - Part-Time - Mt. Pleasant

Job Summary

Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols while maintaining image quality, patient safety, and efficient workflow. Complete patient screening, exam documentation, and image verification in RIS and PACS to support timely physician interpretation. Adhere to all MRI safety requirements, including zone protocols, implant screening, and ferromagnetic safety practices. Conduct routine equipment quality control checks, assisting with troubleshooting malfunctions and placing tickets as needed. Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the imaging process and utilize the SHIELD reporting platform for events outside normal encounters. Rotate to other locations as needed for training and staffing.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited school of imaging
  • Registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) in MRI
  • Must obtain registry within 1 year of hire
  • Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision
  • Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Must be familiar with age-specific criteria
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
  • Proactively maintains and renews ARRT, state license, BLS, PPD, respirator fit test, and POC training
  • Graduated from an accredited imaging program
  • Registry eligible ARRT(MR)
  • Must obtain MRI registration within 1 year of hire date
  • 1-2 years BLS Experience
  • General MRI exams, implants, elastography, and defecography
  • 0-2 years of modality specific experience required
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • ARRT MRI registration required within one year
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
