Job Summary

Assess client life situations, diagnose using DSM-5 tools, and develop written intervention plans with specific goals and schedules. Deliver planned individual, family, and group psychotherapy while consulting with on-staff psychiatric prescribers and other professionals regarding referred or mutual clients. Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, clinical supervision, and case consultations for health care and human service agencies. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record, including progress notes within 48 hours and case closings within three months, while meeting productivity time standards of 65% billable time. Complete enrollment forms and prior authorizations timely and coordinate agency resources with community partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Applicable MN MHP Licensure
  • Minimum graduate degree in mental health field of study
  • Educational requirements completed to meet clinical trainee designation
  • Two years' experience
  • Licensed as an LP, LICSW, LMFT or LPCC
  • High level of human relation skills
  • Aptitude for effective decision-making
  • Organized
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Able to demonstrate appropriate problem-solving skills
  • Must work well on a team of therapists
  • Must work well with other agency staff
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must possess a vehicle
  • Valid driver license
  • Valid auto insurance
  • Willingness to travel as needed to client or organization locations throughout SE MN
  • Must be able to move in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities
  • Must be able to communicate with others and exchange information
  • Must be able to operate equipment on a daily basis
  • Must be able to bend and lift office materials
  • Must be able to complete Progress Notes within 48 hours of seeing a client
  • Must be able to complete treatment plans at the first therapy session
  • Must be able to complete diagnostic assessment within insurance compliance guidelines or sooner in time sensitive situations
  • Must be able to maintain accurate and current documentation of all client treatment activities in the agency's ECR
  • Must be able to maintain accurate and up-to-date case closings and terminations, typically within three months of the most recent session with a client
  • Must be able to maintain a thorough and accurate schedule in the electronic health record
  • Must be able to meet productivity time standards – billable and non-billable at the required minimal level, currently 65% of total paid time
  • Must be able to complete all information/forms needed by the business office (Enrollment form, prior authorizations, requests for information or letters sent to doctors etc.) in a timely manner
