Job Summary
Assess and document clients' current life situations, diagnoses using DSM-5 tools, and symptoms. Develop written intervention plans with specific goals, strategies, and treatment schedules. Perform structured individual, family, and group psychotherapy based on client diagnoses. Coordinate therapeutic services with on-staff psychiatric prescribers and consult with external professionals regarding referred or mutual clients. Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, clinical supervision, and staff development activities. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record, completing progress notes within 48 hours and treatment plans at the first session. Complete case closings within three months of the most recent session and maintain productivity time standards at 65% billable level. Provide case consultation to health care agencies and present at community meetings as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Applicable MN MHP License Eligible Clinical Trainee
- Minimum graduate degree in mental health field of study
- Educational requirements completed to meet clinical trainee designation
- High level of human relation skills
- Aptitude for effective decision-making
- Organized
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Effective written communication skills
- Appropriate problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well on a team of therapists
- Ability to coordinate as necessary to support the treatment of clients
- Ability to work well with other agency staff
- Ability to respond to reasonable demands placed on them outside of their clinical work by agency staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Possession of a vehicle
- Valid driver's license
- Valid auto insurance
- Willingness to travel as needed to client or organization locations throughout SE MN
- Ability to move in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities
- Ability to communicate with others and exchange information
- Ability to operate equipment on a daily basis
- Ability to bend and lift office materials occasionally
- Background check clearance
