Job Summary
Outpatient LPN/LVN in a dialysis setting performing direct patient care and dialysis-related duties under RN supervision. Responsibilities include: performing all technical aspects of dialysis procedures, administering and monitoring treatments per the treatment plan, documenting dialysis parameters, reporting changes in patient condition or equipment problems, educating patients and families about end-stage renal disease and dialysis therapy, participating in emergency procedures (basic CPR), maintaining a clean and safe facility, following infection-control policies, and coordinating care with physicians, dietitians, social workers, and other staff. Requires graduation from an approved practical nursing program, current state licensure, ability to work across multiple facilities, and completion of necessary dialysis-related training and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN). Current appropriate State licensure.
- Hemodialysis training or successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis.
- CPR Certification (must complete CPR Certification).
- Nurses Technical Training Program upon hire or soon thereafter.
- Ability to provide coverage at area facilities during times of short-staffing or as required.
- Ishihara color blindness test as a condition of employment.
