Job Summary
Conduct venous, capillary, and line collections and perform Point of Care testing for patients of all ages. Ensure accurate patient identification, specimen integrity, and proper labeling while instructing patients on various specimen types. Maintain a professional image, interact with customers efficiently, and collaborate with peers to provide constructive feedback. Prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, troubleshoot problems, and mentor new and existing staff. Participate in assigned special projects and attend the Mayo Clinic phlebotomy training program. This role requires two years of service before transfer eligibility and does not offer visa sponsorship or F-1 STEM OPT extension.
Required Qualifications
- Subject matter expert on instructing patients with collections of various specimen types
- Must be able to prioritize work
- Must be able to accommodate scheduling adjustments
- Must have good decision making skills
- Must maintain a professional image at all times
- May be required to attend the Mayo Clinic phlebotomy training program
