Job Summary
Conduct evaluation, treatment, re-evaluation, and discharge planning for patients with upper extremity disorders including tendon injuries, sprains, strains, and post-operative fractures. Deliver comprehensive, individualized treatment programs while maintaining positive interactions with facilities and clients. Collaborate with the regional hand therapy coordinator to ensure resource availability and stay current with Occupational Therapy research and Evidence-Based Practice. Work as a solo hand therapist within the Clarksville, Maryland outpatient center, managing a full-time schedule of 32-40 hours that includes some evenings but no weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or Occupational Therapist
- At least 2-3 years of prior hand therapy experience
- Comfortable working as a solo hand therapist
- Graduate of an accredited school for occupational or physical therapy
- Specialty certification or licensure in hand therapy
- National registration and state licensure or registration
- Previous, demonstrated marketing experience
- Solid experience in application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
- CPR certification
- Valid state driver's license
- Must be available for some evenings
- Must be available for a 32-40 hour workweek
- Must NOT work weekends
