Job Summary
Manage comprehensive medical nutritional care for patients in the bariatric surgery clinic, including nutrition assessment, development of care plans, dietary modification, and nutrition education. Develop and implement nutrition plans based on assessments, physician orders, and interdisciplinary health care plans to meet patient needs. Document all nutrition-related information, including therapy recommendations, care plans, follow-up data, and discharge planning. Counsel patients, families, and caregivers on prescribed therapeutic diets and partner with food service staff to ensure meal compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study
- Master's Degree Related Field of Study
- Dietitian and Nutritionist [State License]
- Registered Dietitian [RD/RDN]
- Completion of dietetic internship
- Good communication skills
- Ability to effectively evaluate and problem solve
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to guide, teach, and motivate all patient age populations
- Spanish speaking
