Job Summary
Outpatient Clinical Pharmacist (Part-Time) at Duke University Health System focusing on providing pharmaceutical care, overseeing medication therapy, dispensing, drug information, and collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams. Responsibilities include reviewing and monitoring medication therapy for safety and efficacy, preparing and dispensing medications, educating caregivers, patients, and students, maintaining records, participating in research, and supporting investigational medications. Requires Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy and NC licensure eligibility; experience requirements depend on degree (pharmacy residents or equivalent for Doctor of Pharmacy). Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and compliance with Federal/State regulations and Joint Commission standards. Ability to communicate clearly and work within multidisciplinary teams is essential, with rotating weekday and weekend shifts and 8 hours/week guaranteed.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree OR BS Pharmacy Degree
- Licensed Pharmacist or eligible to practice pharmacy in North Carolina
