Job Summary
Outpatient Child & Adolescent Clinical Therapist at Pine Rest’s Northeast Clinic provides assessment, counseling, and treatment for patients with mental health and substance use disorders. Responsibilities include conducting interviews, selecting and applying therapeutic interventions (individual, group, family, experiential, and evidence-based models), collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring timely medical record documentation, coordinating services and resources, supervising interns, and contributing to a recovery-focused, client-centered environment. Requires current state licensure in a master’s-level program (Social Work, Psychology, or Professional Counseling), 1–2 years postgraduate clinical experience, and ongoing continuing education; may require evenings and weekends. Location: Grand Rapids, MI; full-time role with opportunities for education and credentialing within Pine Rest’s clinical programs.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure in an accredited Master’s level program in Social Work, limited license Psychologist or Professional Counseling
- Obtain and maintain in good standing certification commensurate with treatment provided
- One to two years of postgraduate clinical experience
- Trained to work in the age group of the patient being served with annual continuing age-specific education and demonstrated competence
- Successful completion of a drug screen prior to employment is also part of our background process
