Job Summary
Provide individual, family, and group therapy to clients while conducting assessments and formulating treatment plans with client participation. Ensure consistent treatment aligned with standards of practice by participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, on-call crisis rotations, and peer reviews. Complete necessary documentation including assessments, progress notes, and authorizations through maintaining up-to-date medical records per agency guidelines. Consult with psychiatrists or psychologists on clinical issues and coordinate care with other professionals. Attend required trainings and provide in-service training to colleagues as assigned. Work Monday through Friday, 8-5, with flexible office and telehealth options.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree
- unrestricted license, issued by the North Carolina licensing board regulating the profession in question, in the following disciplines: LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT
- Associate License issued by State Licensing Board
- proof of supervision as required by the State Licensing Board
- License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Associate License issued by State Licensing Board
- Considerable knowledge of counseling and /or social work principles, techniques, and their applications
- knowledge of human behavior, social systems, and institutions
- knowledge of community resources that may be tapped to effectively achieve and maintain therapeutic endeavors
- knowledge of laws, policies, procedures governing agency/program operation
- knowledge of the nature and effect of a variety of emotional and behavioral problems
- knowledge of methods of intervention
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective therapeutic alliance with consumers
- Ability to effectively establish and maintain work relationships with all levels of the organization and public / private organizations
