Job Summary
Outpatient Behavioral Health Tech tasked with supporting a multidisciplinary behavioral health treatment team. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care (recording vital signs, maintaining patient documentation, and completing administrative duties), ensuring a therapeutic clinical space, managing supplies and equipment, opening/closing shifts, and complying with OSHA, infection control, and regulatory standards. Role involves engaging with patients, families, and healthcare providers, handling patient phone calls, delivering education and support as directed, and upholding Just Culture and organizational values. Required skills include attention to documentation, effective communication, and HIPAA compliance; certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPI or Therapeutic Options training preferred; bilingual Spanish helpful. Education: high-school diploma or GED. Pay range is $22.60–$29.67/hour, converted to annualized salaries of $47,008–$61,714; location: Edwards, Colorado (on-site). Required Qualifications
- High-school diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification preferred
- 6 months of direct patient care or community behavioral health experience or successful completion of Vail Health’s Behavioral Health Technician competencies
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
