Job Summary
Greet store visitors, explain product offerings, and sincerely thank donors and customers for supporting the organization's mission. Place donations in designated storage areas for sorting, rotate stock to ensure the store remains presentable, and check premises for items left overnight. Unlock donor center and furniture store doors, complete required paperwork, and perform all cleaning tasks per site SOPs. Adhere to health and safety policies, use appropriate equipment and tools, and maintain reports using basic mathematical and written English skills. This part-time role requires lifting over 10 kilograms regularly and includes rotating shifts across weekdays, weekends, and evenings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 15 years of age or older
- Must pass a criminal record check
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Sufficient verbal and written command of the English language
- Basic mathematical and written English skills
- Must be able to regularly lift in excess of 10 kilograms (22 pounds)
- Must be responsible for own transportation to and from work, as well as to and from Goodwill training sessions
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
Desired Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience is an asset
- Exceptional customer service skills to interact with donors and members of the public
- Dependability and reliability is required
