Job Summary
Franz Family Bakery seeks a part-time Outlet Store Associate to help ensure customers receive excellent service and accurate transactions in a fast-paced bakery retail environment. Key duties include engaging with customers, advising on merchandise selections, processing purchases at the POS, handling cash accurately, taking inventory, stocking shelves, organizing merchandise from depots, cleaning display areas, and performing routine accounting tasks according to established procedures. The role requires reliability, safety consciousness, strong organization, effective communication with a variety of people, and comfort working a set schedule with varied days (Monday through Sunday). A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with prior cash-handling experience and a solid work history essential. Ability to pass pre-employment screenings and to lift up to 25 pounds is expected. Union membership is required upon hire.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience with cash handling processes
- Solid work history of at least one (1) year length at previous jobs is preferred
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment math test, background check, drug screen and physical
- Must be able to join the union upon hire
