Job Summary
Load and unload transportation containers, remove goods from containers, and sort salable merchandise from salvage material and garbage. Evaluate product value, prepare salable goods for retail stores, and maintain production tallies. Identify items for special sales and auctions, process unsold items from the sales floor, and build internal and external customer satisfaction. Demonstrate safe work practices by reporting hazards and accidents. Requires lifting up to 60 pounds, standing for long periods, and working in a loud, outdoor environment with temperature variations. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
