Job Summary
Conduct design review, design acceptance, and technical certification of outfitting engineering elements for a major shipbuilding program. Exercise delegated technical authority across furnishings, habitability, crew support, and engineering systems while reviewing deliverables and classification society documentation against contracted timeframes. Identify technical risks and hazards by collaborating with the System Safety team to assess and manage them. Support requirements management, stakeholder engagement, and the development of junior engineering staff. Requires current NV1 security clearance and strong maritime outfitting expertise. Join a tight-knit team at IAG Defence & National Security contributing to critical Defence and national security programs across Australia.
Required Qualifications
- Current NV1 security clearance
- Strong technical expertise in outfitting systems and engineering design, ideally within a maritime or shipbuilding context
- Experience in design review, design acceptance or technical certification processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- Proactive mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to project deadlines
