Job Summary
Assemble and outfit newly manufactured vessels by installing parts, equipment, components, and accessories along the production line. Perform point-to-point wiring and cable harness assembly using crimping and soldering techniques. Utilize common hand and power tools, calipers, tape measures, and gauges to measure and ensure proper function of mechanical assemblies. Follow documented procedures for fitting, adjusting, and inspecting all components. Execute minor adjustments to tools and equipment as needed. Requires valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and experience with installing motors, waterjets, and marine electronics.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs
- This position requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing, and visual acuity
- Must also be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to complete tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Recent experience outfitting and assembling vessels or similar systems
- Installing outboard and inboard motors
- Installing waterjets, stern drives, and other similar propulsion systems
- Installing marine electronics
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
- ABYC certifications
