Outdoor Track: Head Coach

Coach individual participants in skills necessary for excellent achievement in outdoor track. Maintain accurate records of team lists, injury reports, scores, and incident reports. Be available during the entire school year for guidance and counseling on scholastic achievement, college entrance, and citizenship. Oversee safety conditions of the facility and enforce discipline while encouraging sportsmanship. Be present at each practice session and all contests, supervising weight rooms, locker rooms, and shower areas. Develop an organized written practice plan with daily warm-up and cool-down procedures. Organize and post a daily schedule for the team and assistant coaches. Attend Athletic Department and EHS meetings to stay informed of rule changes and trends. Assist in distributing and collecting uniforms and equipment. Directly supervise squad members at home and away contests.
