Job Summary
Temporary part-time Outdoor Recreation and Program Coordinator on the Northeastern University Oakland Campus. Responsible for planning and delivering outdoor recreation excursions, intramural sports support, and CSR department programming. Duties include leading and supervising student participants and staff, teaching outdoor skills and Leave No Trace principles, coordinating with recreation vendors, transporting students (including driving a 10-passenger campus vehicle), ensuring safety procedures and emergency response protocols, and handling administrative tasks to support department operations. Must participate in all activities hands-on, with evenings and weekends typical; pay range $20–$30 per hour depending on experience. This role requires active safety certifications and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs; remote work is not available.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (certifications obtainable upon hire)
- Reliable, responsible, self-motivated, and demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform all required activities, including walking, standing, sitting, and lifting up to 30 lbs
- Active participation in all outdoor and indoor excursion activities is required
- Valid I-9 documentation
