Job Summary
Conduct wildlife habitat development, maintenance, and upkeep on forest trails while managing fields for hunting, food plots, and bird raising. Schedule and guide hunts, fishing excursions, archery, and paintball activities; operate the dog kennel by walking, training, and feeding animals. Lead equipment and building maintenance, coordinate rentals for ATVs and UTVs, and deliver hunting and fishing safety education programs to members and guests. Monitor wildlife populations, assess forest operation impacts, and conduct on-the-job training for subordinates. Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and maintain a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university in wildlife or fisheries management, wildlife biology, or other related acceptable field
- A minimum of five years of full-time working experience as a Hunting Guide/Fishing Guide
- Guest experience in hospitality
- Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age on the date of application
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Possess a valid and current motor vehicle operator's license
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds
