Job Summary
Conduct engaging marine science lessons and discussions while assisting Lead Scientists in delivering high-quality educational experiences. Care for attendees with varying physical and mental abilities, working independently when necessary to ensure their safety and well-being. Oversee the setup, maintenance, and organization of program materials and supplies across diverse outdoor settings. Foster a positive learning environment by collaborating with team members to lead small groups and adapt to varying conditions. Support staff must remain available from mid-June through early September, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am–2:00 pm, with applications accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.
Required Qualifications
- Passionate about conservation and our oceans
- Ability to lead and conduct program activities in an outdoor setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- A degree in marine sciences, biology, education, or a closely related field
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Previous experience in scientific fieldwork or teaching
