Job Summary
Conduct yard truck operations to move trailers within the yard and dock/undock from loading docks, ensuring accurate positioning for loading and unloading. Collaborate with Warehouse and Dispatch personnel to prioritize trailer movement based on shipping and receiving schedules, while maintaining organized parking and proper inbound/outbound flow. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on yard trucks, reporting out-of-service equipment issues promptly and conducting basic maintenance checks for fueling and product temperatures. Move trailers between sites including Fleet maintenance, Original Distribution, and New Distribution centers, and maintain a safe, clean working environment. Report issues to shift leadership and adhere to safety protocols throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- CDL-A License required (Valid & Active)
- 21+ years or older
- One (1) year minimum active driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 80-85lbs.
- Standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift
- Frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head
- Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily
- Working in various temperature controlled environments
- Ability to operate required material handling equipment
- Ability to get on and off equipment throughout shift
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis
- Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
