Job Summary
Outbound Warehouse Supervisor at Bunzl Safety-City of Industry leads day-to-day outbound warehouse operations, supervising hourly associates across picking, packing, manifesting, validating deliveries, staging, loading, and shipping. Partners with the Outbound Manager and cross-functional teams to optimize workflow, ensure safety and compliance with customer requirements, monitor KPIs (productivity, accuracy, backlog, labor utilization, SLA performance), and drive continuous improvement through coaching, training, and performance management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of warehouse, distribution, or related operations experience required; prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
- Outbound warehouse experience preferred, including picking, packing, shipping, manifesting, loading, order validation, and customer compliance processes.
- Warehouse Management System experience preferred.
- Ability to lead, coach, and hold associates accountable in a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, escalate appropriately, and support corrective action.
- Ability to use data, system reports, and daily performance indicators to monitor workflow and support operational decisions.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task and prioritize competing operational needs.
