Job Summary
Outbound Team Leader responsible for overall outbound transport operations in Magdeburg for Samsung SDS Smart Logistics; lead and coordinate the outbound transport team; act as the primary operational contact for customers and logistics providers; ensure smooth daily outbound execution including planning, slot booking, and delivery monitoring; monitor KPIs and initiate corrective actions; manage carrier performance and handle escalations; optimize transport efficiency and cost structure; support implementation of process improvements, automation and standardization initiatives; ensure continuous improvement through feedback loops with customers and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- Completed commercial training in logistics, freight forwarding, or similar field
- 5–10+ years in transport / logistics operations
- Strong understanding of German domestic logistics network (FTL/LTL, hub distribution, last mile)
- Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS)
- Fluent German and English skills
- Ability to manage operational data and KPIs into actionable insights
- Customer specific logistics operations
- Experience in team leadership and process improvement
