Outbound Team Leader

Job Summary
Team Leader Outbound (Warehouse) based at Bellville DC Cape Town responsible for leading designated teams within the Distribution Center to ensure customer deliveries are picked, staged, and dispatched on time to meet KPIs such as OTIF, order fulfillment, safety/governance, and customer satisfaction. Drives high-performance culture using SDCA and PDCA tools, leverages SAP and other digital platforms to improve efficiency, and implements new ideas aligned with global standards to accelerate operations. Key duties include master data management for materials and pick faces, coordinating inbound schedules, monitoring in-transit reports, maintaining daily/weekly dashboards, managing warehouse personnel and equipment (including KPI boards, Kronos hours, and PPTs), coordinating with outsourced transport providers, ensuring accuracy of picking and inventory controls, and enforcing safety and quality control systems. Experience in Distribution environment, strong communication, attention to detail, SAP knowledge, and Lean/continuous-improvement mindset are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Commerce, Economics and Management Sciences (BCom Supply Chain, BCom/BTech in Business Management, Finance, Transport and Logistics, Economics and Stats) or BSc in Engineering
