Job Summary
Create shipment orders in the MRP system and generate Bills of Lading for domestic and international shipments. Oversee all documentation, including load tenders and export paperwork, while monitoring finished goods levels to ensure timely sales and shipping performance within 3–7 days of production. Schedule outbound appointments with carriers based on location capacity, resolve invoice discrepancies, and coordinate with Accounting and Supply Chain Services. Participate in daily scheduling meetings to align shipping orders with production plans and provide status updates to customers. Identify shipping issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent delays. Maintain customer portals and deliver regular KPI reporting to highlight operational risks and support healthy inventory flow.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree or two years related experience in a logistics role
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Occasionally required to stand and walk
