Job Summary
Optimize team productivity and accuracy by classifying shipping options according to pick-up schedules for packing, picking, and shipping. Train new and existing pickers and packers while troubleshooting exceptions to maintain processing flow. Prioritize daily tasks based on forecasts, report attendance, and request additional resources when needed. Develop expert abilities in the packing department field by testing new process improvements and benchmarking employee performance. Order supplies as necessary and provide daily productivity packing and picking reports. This role requires a bilingual (Spanish & English) lead with at least two years of warehouse experience to work in a dynamic Cerritos, California environment.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly effective training skills and techniques
- Basic working knowledge of communicating through emails
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
- Proven work experience in a warehouse environment (as lead/supervisor or above)
- Dependable
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse picking and packaging leading a large group
- Computer literate in Excel, Word and email
- Experience with a WMS system
- Bilingual (Spanish & English)
