Job Summary
Analyze vendor file layouts field by field and write detailed business requirements to ensure outbound data files are accurate for prescription access, claim pricing, and plan performance analytics. Create test plans and scenarios in the test region, review test files, document results, and collaborate with programmers to implement necessary changes. Provide final user sign-off for production deployment and audit initial production files for turnover accuracy. This role requires strong SQL skills to query the NextStep enterprise data warehouse and resolve issues with minimal supervision. Candidates must have at least four years of experience in insurance or TPA industries working with EDI files and electronic data testing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4 years prior experience working in the insurance or TPA industry in a technical role working with EDI files and/or analyzing and testing electronic data files
- Understanding of EDI terminology and file structures
- Ability to read, understand and interpret file specifications
- Experience with SQL and compare tools like UltraEdit
- Proven problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to determine solutions and resolve issues with minimal supervision
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other Luminare Health areas as well as external vendors
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload in a frequently interrupted environment
- Proficient with Excel and Word
- Strong written, verbal, collaboration and interpersonal communication skills
- Sound decision making skills
- Customer service focused
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
